APPROACH

My professional approach is integrative and tailored to each individual, ensuring that everyone receives the care and attention they deserve. I believe in recognizing the diversity and uniqueness of each person I work with, so my treatment plans are customized to meet personal needs and goals, developed together with transparency and respect. My work is grounded in evidence-based therapeutic interventions, which enhances the effectiveness of treatment and ensures that I provide the most professional and comprehensive care possible. I offer both long-term and short-term therapy, using Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) psychotherapy.
Cognitive Behavioral TherapY (CBT)
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, structured approach where we work together to understand and work with the patterns that shape your experiences—your thoughts, emotions, physical sensations, and behaviors. In our sessions, we’ll look at each of these areas, exploring how they interact and influence your daily life, and develop strategies to support positive change and well-being. To help with this process, I use a shared whiteboard with all clients, making it easy for us to reflect, organize, and track your progress together.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a therapy that recognizes how our life experiences shape who we are—affecting our triggers, behaviors, and beliefs about ourselves and the world. Sometimes, difficult or distressing experiences can get "stuck," influencing our daily lives in ways we may not realize. Through EMDR, we work together to process and "desensitize" these memories, helping you reduce their emotional impact. This makes it easier to focus on the present, so you can be more available to do what’s truly good for you and live with greater freedom and well-being.
About me

Hi, I'm Yuval Fater, a certified cognitive-behavioral therapist and EMDR practitioner. I'm also a husband and father of three. I enjoy spending time outdoors, jumping into cold water, and doing sports. I have a passion for research and ongoing learning, which helps me keep my mind active and stay relevant and effective in my field. For the past three years, after relocating with my family to Europe, I have been running a private clinic online, currently accepting private pay only.Previously, I worked for seven years at a family trauma center. There, I supported children in revealing and processing traumatic events, and worked closely with their parents to help them cope and guide their families back to normal life.In addition, I served as a military mental health officer, focusing on combat reaction and PTSD prevention.
